Buckhurst Construction is a domestic building firm based at West Lodge on Buckhurst Lane in Ascot, led by William Hulbert. We take on bespoke extensions, whole-property renovations, and loft, garage, annex and basement conversions across Ascot, Sunninghill and the wider East Berkshire area.

A bespoke extension is the biggest structural change most homes ever get, so it has to be right below the surface as well as above it — foundations, steelwork, the join to the existing house, and the light you actually wanted. We build single and multi-storey extensions tailored to the property, run on site by William from groundwork to snagging.

From first site visit to snagging and handover.

Site visit and a proper conversation
William comes out to see the property, understands what you're picturing, and talks through what's realistic — the layout, the structure, and how a job like yours tends to run. There's no charge for the first visit.

A clear quote and scope
You get a written quote setting out the work and what it covers, so you know what's included before anything starts. Where a project needs drawings, structural calculations or building control, we tell you what's involved up front.

Built, with daily updates
Once we're underway, you're kept in the loop on progress, plans and timeframes as the job runs — the thing our clients mention most. William is on site and hands-on throughout, keeping the standard consistent.

Snagging and handover
We don't call a job done until it's done. We walk the finished work with you, put right anything on the snag list, and hand back a space finished to the detail our reviews describe as second to none.
Where we work
Based on Buckhurst Lane, Ascot — working across East Berkshire.
We work throughout Ascot, Sunninghill, Sunningdale and the surrounding villages, out to Windsor, Bracknell, Virginia Water, Winkfield and Maidenhead, and across the Surrey border toward Egham, Englefield Green and Bagshot. Being local matters on a build — William can be on your site properly rather than managing it from a distance. If you're nearby and planning work, we'd be glad to come and look.
